Campfire Applesauce Cake
1 box cake mix (Spice, white, yellow, whatever) \ eggs, water, oil \ 16 oz. can applesauce \ cinnamon.

Prepare campfire & have heaped red coals available. Situate a grill about 12 inches above hot coals. Mix cake mix according to directions, adding eggs, water, oil called for. Grease a large cast iron skillet with oil, pour applesauce in, and pour cake batter on top. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Cover with aluminum foil and a tight fitting cast iron lid. Put skillet on grill over hot coals. Cook approx. 20-30 min. Every 5 min. or so turn the skillet 1/4 turn. Remove lid & foil and check after 20 min. When cake is set (inserted toothpick comes out clean)remove from heat, spoon into bowls & let cool. It's VERY hot, delicious, and you'll want more!
