Camp Fries

These quick and easy fries are easy to make, and use much less oil than traditional fries, making your supplies and storage easier. These are popular with kids, and can be fun if you make fast food like paper holders for them out of paper bags.

What you will need:

  • 4 potatoes (2 per person)
  • Vegetable oil or olive oil if you prefer
  • Salt, pepper or other spices like Rosemary if you wish.

Simply wash and cut potatoes into your favorite style french fries shape. These can be thick, thin, long, short, or any shape you prefer. Heat oil in a non - stick or cast iron pan and place all fries flat in the oil. Cook each side until golden brown (approx. 10 minutes total). When done, wrap fries in some paper towels to soak up the excess oil, and then serve!
