Park: Myrtle Beach
State Park
I love to camp. And I love Myrtle Beach so
what better thing than to combine the two.
I have only camped at Lakewood Campground
in Myrtle Beach and here's why.. We love the
immense shaded areas. They lend themselves
well to camping in our popup! I have perused
the other campgrounds on the Grand Strand
but find Lakewood as the best by far. The
amenities are more than adequate, ie. pool
area, beachfront concessions, campground store
and we love simply cruising the campground
in a golf cart, checking out the various permanent
properties for sale for POSSIBLY a future
purchase perhaps.. It is run by Christian
folks and that lends to some extremely nice
campground staffers. It also tends, I think,
to eliminate most of the inevitable riffraff
problems that sometimes crop up at campgrounds,
no matter where you are. The staffs that I
have encountered during my stays are extremely
nice and accommodating and stand ready to
assist campers as needed. We wouldn't consider
camping at any other place! Customer: Jim Fox
