Blue Licks Battlefield State Resort Park- Carlisle, Kentucky













Douthat State Park
Educational opportunities offered today include programs such as "Pioneers, How'd they do it?" which looks into the trials and tribulations of being a pioneer in Kentucky during the 18th century. Or perhaps a "Battlefield Walk"?
Borderland State Park- Easton/Sharon, Massachusetts







John Martin Reservoir
The Ames home, a three-story stone mansion built in 1910, still stands, and is open for scheduled tours. Its twenty rooms are furnished much as they were when the Ameses lived there; many of Blanche Ames' paintings still grace the walls.
Douthat State Park- Millboro, Virginia






Kam Wah Chung State Heritage Site
Douthat's historic facilities and trails are used to facilitate teaching a wide range of subjects. Educational fieldtrips are scheduled throughout the school year and homeschoolers enjoy programming year round.
Kam Wah Chung State Heritage Site- John Day, Oregon






Red Cliffe Plantatiion State Historic Site
Built in the American West in the late 19th century. Doc Hay established an herbal medicine practice that became known throughout eastern and central Oregon. Thousands of relics yield insight into a significant cultural legacy.
Red Cliffe Plantation State Historic Site- Beech Island, South Carolina






Robert Moses State Park
A successful cotton planter, Hammond designed Redcliffe to be an estate for relaxation, entertaining and agricultural experimentation. Soon after its completion, Redcliffe quickly became the physical and emotional center of Hammond family life.
River's Bridge State Historic Site- Ehrhardt, South Carolina


Savanna Preserve State Park
































A self-guided interpretive trail tells the dramatic story of the two-day fight on the battlefield, where visitors see the earthworks held by Confederate soldiers and the thick swamp through which Union troops advanced.
Robert Moses State Park- Massena, New York
The nature center also offers holiday, special events and school outreach programs. The park's nature, hiking and cross-country skiing trails wind through fields, forests and wetlands.
Savanna Preserve State Park- Port St. Lucie, Florida
The Wonders of the Land and Marsh consists of seven educational opportunities…Puppets in the Park, Wee Ones Land & Marsh Lab, Wet Dry Burnt, Land & Marsh Lab and Critter Encounters all explore our unique natural communities including wet prairies, marsh basin, mesic flatwoods all full of birds, turtles, raccoons, tortoises, snakes and many more creatures.
Walden Pond State Recreation- Concord, Massachusetts
Walden Pond has been designated a National Historic Landmark and is considered the birthplace of the conservation movement. A replica of Thoreau's house and the location of his modest home are available for viewing by the public.
